Description
The project is designed to control over the railway level crossing gate automatically using microcontroller. Opening and closing of railway level crossing gate involves manpower, due to which accidents may occur. This project involves opening and closing of the level crossing gate with the help of microcontroller.
When the train comes closer to crossing the gate is automatically closed and when the train is passed the railway crossing gate is automatically open. In this project we use a microcontroller of 8051 family, and the input to it is given with the IR sensors which are used to detect Railway Engin. The output to microcontroller is given to a motor through a motor driver IC for required operation.
